Top 5 Tools Apps on Android in Ireland, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, several tools apps stood out on the Android platform in Ireland. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users.

MyGovID saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, starting at around 4.4K and peaking at approximately 5.4K by the end of June. This growth trend in downloads was accompanied by a steady increase in its weekly active users.

The QR & Barcode Scanner app maintained a stable download rate, with a peak of about 4.3K in mid-May. Its active user base fluctuated throughout the quarter, reaching a high of nearly 100K in late May before declining to around 80K by the end of June.

Google Authenticator showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting at 3.1K and ending at 4.4K. Active users also grew steadily, peaking at approximately 53K in late June.

Samsung Smart Switch Mobile experienced a moderate rise in downloads, reaching up to 3.3K by mid-June. Its active user count varied, peaking at over 20K in late April before a decrease in May and a slight recovery by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Google Translate had a consistent download trend, increasing from 2.2K to 2.6K. The app's active users peaked at 148K in early May, followed by a decline to 117K by the end of June.
